London, things I didn't expect and advice that was wrong

One of the first things I noticed upon arrival to London was it was hotter than I was expecting. I had packed a lot of slightly warm clothes because I was prepared for cool weather. Wrong. Only at night in July. I also tried to pack a fair amount of neutrals because I was told, that was all that people from London wore, wrong. They wear bright colors all the time, just as common as Americans.
I was expecting some Nationalism but it's to the point of obnoxious in London. Some would talk for hours if they could about how they hate Americans and foreigners in general. To me, this seems very closed minded for such a metropolitan business hub of the modern world.
The last thing I didn't expect is how everyone here seems absolutely miserable 98% of the time and they are always in a rush to get somewhere.
My favorite thing to do in London, besides eat their fantastic vegetarian  friendly meals, is my crisp morning jog through regents park. It's absolutely splendid and beautiful.

Bisous bisous
